I seriously can't believe I never knew that ABC did a pilot for an American version of Footballers' Wives starring Eddie Cibrian and James Van Der Beek...then failed to pick it up. That would have been the gayest show ever. And I mean "gay" not in the "lame" sense (possibly), but in the "homosexuals in every scene" sense. It even had Lucy Lawless!
