Unlike my good friend Kenneth, I always thought Marilyn was a piece of shit, musically; I never found him in the least bit interesting. Why, I don't know, considering he was undeniably queer and I was really excited by the less pretty Boy George and his Culture Club.

But I do find it kind of interesting that Marilyn's long-rumored relationship with Gwen Stefani's husband, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, is finally being confirmed by Marilyn himself. George had previously outed the couple, but Marilyn was lying to protect Rossdale at that point. Now that he's been described as "a dried-up dowager" (recent photos of Marilyn at left), Marilyn's lips have loosened.

In Touch (May 4, 2009) breaks the story, which has Marilyn stating that Rossdale "was the love of my life...We were together five years." If you're making up a romance, you usually go for a one-night stand or a two-week fling, not something that outlasts the sex.

"I am in love with you. I want you," Rossdale allegedly said to Marilyn not only his first man, but his first person.

Kooky Marilyn expresses surprise that Stefani has never deigned to meet him, even though he crashed their wedding.

Trainwreck! But I believe the relationship part. The part where Marilyn says he's not gay and has had more relationships with women than men...not so much.
