Maripol in the late, great early '80s.

Can't believe I overlooked this, but Maripol, the woman most responsible for Madonna's earliest, most identifiable style choices (and a recent pal of mine) is making a comeback.

She will have "a line of fluorescent Lucite bracelets, necklaces inspired by sea urchins (Maripol is an enthusiastic scuba diver) and, possibly T-shirt dresses with updated versions of her favorite geometric motifs, to be sold at Marc by Marc Jacobs boutiques early next year." So great for her—she is so deserving of a major revival. With Madonna as his current muse, Jacobs certainly is a Material Boy. What's next, hiring Sean Penn as a greeter?
