Can't believe I overlooked this, but Maripol, the woman most responsible for Madonna's earliest, most identifiable style choices (and a recent pal of mine) is making a comeback.
She will have "a line of fluorescent Lucite bracelets, necklaces inspired by sea urchins (Maripol is an enthusiastic scuba diver) and, possibly T-shirt dresses with updated versions of her favorite geometric motifs, to be sold at Marc by Marc Jacobs boutiques early next year." (Sample prototype pictured.)
So great for her—she is so deserving of a major revival. With Madonna as his current muse, Jacobs certainly is a Material Boy. What's next, hiring Sean Penn as a greeter?
