Like mama grizzly like daughter grizzly

Now GOProud has waded into the debate over the propriety of 16-year-old Willow Palin calling a critic a "faggot" and "gay" on Facebook, telling TMZ:

"The slur used here is one you could hear on the streets of West Hollywood or Chelsea every day of the week. Apparently, it's only a homophobic slur when it comes from the daughter of a conservative female leader."

Way to play the gender card on top of attempting to defend their unwilling leader. GOProud should GOFuck themselves with this kind of shoddy logic. By the same reasoning, it would be okay for Willow to have called the guy the N-word, right, since black people sometimes used that word, too?

Wrong. It's about context. In this context, she's clearly using it as the most negative slur she can dream up to get back at a boy who DARED to criticize her mother's TV show on Facebook. (He didn't message her or pick on her, he just had it as his status; she—and Bristol—engaged him.)

Any decent parent would ask their child to apologize. Instead, Sarah Palin and her conservazombies will use this as more evidence of the left going after her. Whereas if President Obama's children were caught using this kind of language, you can bet their parents would be mortified, would apologize profusely and would still be skewered by GOProud even though the organization of eleven or so clearly takes no issue with this word being used.

And let's not forget how offensive the word "retard" is to Sarah Palin. But that's different because...well...because...

P.S. This reminded me of the time when Sarah Palin was—alas, there's no proving it—accused of having said that Obama defeating Clinton in the primary was a case of, "So Sambo beat the bitch?" (Which of course doesn't mean she's a racist because lots of black people have been named Sambo or eaten at Sambo's in their lives...)
