I always found Kim Richards fascinating as a child star, and I'm inexplicably, inexcusably riveted by The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills; her issues with sis Kyle are among the only real-seeming emotional exchanges I've seen in this whole series.

Star (February 14, 2011) has some fun pix of the girls from their childhood. A couple of the Kim shots are ridiculously seamy considering her age at the time...

The squat-shot in the slutty swimsuit is from 1982, when she would have been 18. It's referred to as a "modeling shot" but I don't know many pro modeling shots that entail teenagers in halter-top swimsuits kneeling by some nasty curtains in what looks like a motel room. Then there is the peekaboo shot from 1981, when she was about 17. It's hard to describe it, but the raciness was less aggressive and premeditated in those days and, especially if you were a kid who admired someone like Richards, much more alluring for it.
