National Enquirer (September 5, 2011) spills more beans on rumors that the late Russell Armstrong, who committed suicide by hanging last week, was distraught over a gay liaison that was about to come to light in his divorce proceedings. That doesn't seem to be what pushed him over the edge, at least not according to the man who was performing oral sex on him for the past year.

"I was in love with Russell. We had oral sex multiple times durng our 13-month relationship."

Wait—that's love?

This "gay celebrity assistant" he met at a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills taping last year (come on, people, start figuring out whose assistant this is!) was the lover, who says:

"I knew he could be violent and was despondent, but Russell was wonderful to me."

Oh, well, as long as he was wonderful to you, who cares if he smacks his wife around, right?

"I could tell Russell was gay from the get-go. I complimented his clothes and cologne, and I know he felt a spark."

They hooked up after the anonymous assistant say Armstrong's Adam4Adam profile. (Jeez, his profile had an IDable face pic?)

The assistant says he believes Armstrong committed suicide over his mounting debts and death threats he'd gotten from people who perceived him as a wifebeater.

Anyway, sad story with a gay twist. Curious to see how this plays out on the show and with Bravo.
