With thanks to Dave for the tip: It's gross enough that LOGO would feature Ann Coulter on their new Dallas A-List spin-off—ratings are nice, but (1) will they even happen over such a stunt? and (2) she's as vile as any public figure this country has produced in the past hundred years.
But what's with this—LOGO's blog NewNowNext writes that she's "always been somewhat supportive of the gay community" before saying "politics aside," blahblahblah.
First of all, no—she is not supportive of gays. She can happily pose with anti-gay gays, gays who don't believe in hate-crimes legislation, don't care about DADT (she supports a return to the policy) and don't care at all about marriage (she and her ideological kin are vehemently morally opposed to marriage forever and ever). Ann Coulter has said marriage is not a civil right, has race-baited gays in saying we "want to be black," thinks you CAN pray the gay away and refuses to answer how she'd feel if she had a gay child.
Second of all, you can't simply brush off gay-rights issues as "politics." The woman is morally opposed to homosexuality, period.
Really a poor choice of words on NewNowNext's part, and a poor decision by LOGO to give her any air time.
