President Obama's confrontational approach in recess-appointing Richard Cordray—whose nomination to a key position has been deliberately stalled indefinitely by Republicans unwilling to allow the country to move until Obama is history—is invigorating. He seems to have no Constitutional shackles on him that insist he can't do it now (as opposed to yesterday, a time when conventional wisdom says he could have done it with even less fuss), yet he knows it will be a new rallying cry for conservatives convinced he is behaving like a king. (If only!)
Obama seems ready to fight for his job, which is good—he'll need to. But while it's early and while things can change on a dime at any moment, as of now I think he is going to be re-elected. I just hope nobody else who wants him more than they want Romney/Santorum thinks so...or they won't bother to vote!
