Love this free download of a mash-up between Fiorious's "So Pretty" and Madonna's "Jump".
Meanwhile, Madonna's rep has reacted to the Olympia PR scandal, Madonna herself has addressed it at a concert (video below) and she's now released a statement on the matter.
I haven't blogged much about this—it's one of the latest painfully overblown stories about her MDNA Tour. At this point, Madonna could smile and she'd be trashed for baring her fangs. But the long and short of it is—the show should have been free or advertised as a promo gig. Other than that, anyone who actually booed that fantastic show (as opposed to those who thought it was surprisingly short) is a fucking asshole.
The MDNA Tour will wrap up, at its end, as one of the most financially successful tours of all time. And yet I think because of all the hard work that went into it, the relentless and unwarranted snark and bullshit stories like what happened with the Olympia show, not to mention just the fact that Madonna has fairly saturated most large markets, she probably won't tour again in a big way until she's very close to 60. And anyone who thinks she'll be keen at that point to do as energetic a show as she's doing nearly nightly now is probably a bit more optimistic than I.
So enjoy the greatest live act and one of the last pop greats while she's still game to get out there and dance around the media's tomatoes because you will likely miss her when she's tired of it.
