Being HIV-negative is a positive, but so is having great sex
I wholeheartedly agree with Mark Adnum over at Nightcharm (Work Unfriendly) that Richard Berkowiz is a "scandalously unsung hero" for his work on AIDS, and I hope you'll check out Mark's interview with Berkowitz (who I was pleased to meet recently) 30 years after his historically important How to Have Sex in an Epidemic. In it, Berkowitz says:
"People have said that condoms are a barrier to intimacy, but on the contrary, they enable intimacy by freeing people from the risk of a life-changing infection. By removing the threat of trasmitting HIV, condoms can actually enhance intimacy."
