If you're a fan of the acid Chelsea Lately, you're probably already watching the on-acid After Lately, a comedy series "loosely based on the real world of Chelsea Handler and her staff." I interviewed two of its funniest denizens, Jiffy and Fortune, in advance of the show's third-season premiere on February 25 at 10:30PM ET/PT on E! First up is Jiffy, who for a straight boy was pretty game for any questions I threw at him.

Boy Culture: Your bio says you got the nickname "Jiffy" from Chelsea herself. What did you do to earn that, and what nickname would you like to give her?

Jeff "Jiffy" Wild: I like to think Chelsea gave me the nickname Jiffy because I’m so fast at stuff. You know, fast cars, fast women, fast Internet speeds. But who knows? I’d like to give her the nickname Chiffy.

BC: What's it like working with Chelsea, who can be so sassy with public figures? Is she totally the coolest boss?

JW: The. Coolest. Boss. Ever. End. Of. Story.

BC: You went from writer to on-screen personality, and now with After Lately you're sliding into quasi-acting. Are you looking to become an actor?

JW: I actually started in the art department, then Chelsea made me an on-screen personality, then writer’s assistant, then writer, then actor...or "quasi-actor"...Chelsea really made that all happen for me. I was and am superlucky. It was like my version of  when a modeling scout discovers a young model in a Sbarro food court when they’re 16, but less creepy. And I’m not a model.

BC: Did you ever dream you'd be invited onto the show when you first started there?

JW: When I first started working on the show as a set dresser, I thought I’d be working there for two months tops.  It’s been about six years.

BC: Have you ever been intimidated or star-struck by any of Chelsea's guests?

JW: I don’t really get star-struck, but one time Chelsea took me to hang out at Jen Aniston’s house and it was pretty intimate, like six people, and I was so worried about saying something stupid or creepy I didn’t say anything at all… I was like a mute for three hours, which probably seemed pretty stupid and creepy.

BC: Which of the Chelsea/After Lately staffers are you closest to? Better yet: Kill/fuck/marry. Go.

JW: Since I’m married I’ll do this one as if I were gay: Marry Josh Wolf, fuck Chris Franjola, kill myself.

BC: What's the weirdest or funniest thing that's happened since you started on the show?

JW: Too many to count. But coming up in season three I actually have my first nude scene ever, and it’s with Chelsea. Don’t ask me how I got naked with her, just watch the show, but I did and it was pretty embarrassing. Wardrobe even made me one of those little penis moccasin socks. I threw it in the garbage right after we wrapped.

BC: What are some of your favorite blogs, TV shows and movies, the ones that make you laugh/have the best writing?

JW: I just got HBO and Showtime so my wife and I have been catching up on everything we’ve missed out on over the last couple of years, so we’ve been watching Enlightened and Homeland nonstop. I’m going to be really sad when we finally catch up.  Maybe I’ll focus more on Chiffy Lately when that happens.
