Today, the Supreme Court has struck down DOMA in a sweeping decision that is historic in its implications. Additionally, the Court tossed out the Prop 8 case on standing, which means California has marriage equality (again) but which also does not make marriage legal nationwide.
That is next.
A big win today.
Apparently, one-third of the U.S. population now resides in areas with marriage equality. That is huge. It may take years, but every last state WILL have marriage equality. That is a certainty. Haters will grumble, resist, die off, and be replaced by those who can't fathom it ever having been any other way.
