Deutsch rose to prominence as part of the improv troupe the Ace Trucking Company in the '60s, alongside Fred Willard.

She would eventually become a regular player on the final season of Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In (1972-1973).

Commercials were her bread and butter. Along with being heard — thanks to her uniquely nasal whine — in 500 spots, she squeezed Mr. Whipple's Charmin, drank Folgers coffee with Mrs. Olson and played an on-the-make Yellow Cab driver in a famous Safeguard soap spot that also managed to feature Tom Selleck, Teri Garr and Penny Marshall pre-fame. 

Deutsch's greatest success was on TV game shows. She was a hoot on Match Game, on which she could always be counted for the worst, but funniest, replies. For example: 

Later, her voice-over work on animated children's shows made a mark, with performances in Capitol Critters (1992), The Wild Thornberrys (1998-2004) and many others. On the silver screen, she could be heard in The Emperor's New Groove (2000), among others.

Deutsch is survived by her husband, Donald Ross (pictured above), three children and their spouses, and three grandchildren. A family obit posted with the L.A. Times notes that Deutsch's daughter and her wife are lesbian parents.
