Via THR: Casey left the Rams in the late '60s, almost immediately appearing in the films Guns of the Magnificent Seven (1969), ...tick... tick... tick... (1970) and the instant-classic TV film Brian's Song (1971), the story of two football players, one terminally ill.

In the '70s, he starred in a string of blaxploitation films: Cleopatra Jones (1973), Black Chariot (1971), Black Gunn (1972), Dr Black, Mr. Hyde (1976) and even the well-received parody of the genre, 1988's I'm Gonna Git You Sucka.

Other noteworthy film work includes Martin Scorsese's Boxcar Bertha (1972), the David Bowie starrer The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976), the Bond flick Never Say Never Again (1983), the farce Revenge of the Nerds (1984) and the fondly remembered Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989).

His final role was in the film Vegas Vampires in 2007.
