Savyon Zabar aka Big Ben, the former owner of the longtime gay NYC club Escuelita — which catered to Latin lovers — was found strangled and beaten to death in his Upper West Side apartment Wednesday.
The 54-year-old allegedly took a massage from a regular masseur of his, who then reportedly left the apartment saying that Ben had tried to have sex with him. This declaration struck Ben's roommate as odd, so he checked on Ben and found his body.
The masseur is at large.
Police noted his death was not immediately characterized as murder because his large size (400 lbs.) made it hard to see he had been strangled.
The NYP did its typically sensitive treatment on the story:
Donald Trump—up at 3 in the morning—tweeted in a white rage (literally) about his foe Alicia Machado, the Miss Universe he demonstrably fat-shamed and humilliated.
Presumably ticked off that her attacks against him are working, Trump made up some new lies, including that Machado has a sex tape (she doesn't, but so what if she did?), that Hillary helped her become a citizen, that Hillary presented Machado as an angel and that Hillary was duped by Machado.
All demonstrably false.
Also, all of the stuff Trump finds so appalling about Machado happened after he made her feel like shit for gaining what he calls 60 pounds (look at the images, it was maybe more like 20), so they have no relevance.
Finally, if we're going to talk about vetting surrogates, I've got two words for Trump: Don King.
Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge tried to lie, saying that nobody cares about Trump's tax returns.
If you don't have a couple of minutes to watch the video above, it went something like this:
These are the kinds of utterly untalented hacks the South puts into high positions because they're so blindingly worried about immigrants taking their jobs and black people taking public assistance, period.
Rutledge also stank on MSNBC:
Salon: Trump gave the worst-ever debate performance by a prez or veep contender.
Howard Fineman: No, srsly, like, Quayle was better.

Lard-assed Trump doubles down on Miss Universe Alicia Machado's weight.
Rudy Giuliani, who cross-dressed and kissed Trump, says Hillary's “too stupid” to be POTUS.
Sexy King Cobra trailer is here, and the movie is out in a month. #MarryMeGarrettClayton
Trump's recalcitrant ghostwriter is advising Hillary free of charge as “penance.”

Gay NYCers victims of alleged hate crime while attending Folsom Street Fair.
A few years back, I tried Snatched at Mark Fisher Fitness, having been impressed by actor Christopher Sieber's body transformation. While I didn't go from fat to fabulous, I did lose weight and my body changed a lot. Today, I'm heavier than I like to see reflected on the scale, and yet I know at least some of it is from muscle built at Mark Fisher Fitness and with my private trainer Dom.
Check them out, seriously, if you are (1) in NYC; (2) in need of a regular, inexpensive, intelligent fitness program; (3) not offended by graphic sex talk and trainers who dress like Brian, seen above.
Brian is one of the honchos, so he isn't teaching every class. But when you get him, he will be in underwear. As for the current debate over queer-baiting, I must say that MFF does it best—all their male trainers have beautiful, supple bods, era-appropriate booties and talk incessantly about kinds of sex you may not have even actually had, and then a girlfriend gets mentioned like four classes in, when you're hooked. (Brian's so deep in he's married!)
All kidding aside, the trainers—guys and girls—are excellent, the classes do work you over and the atmosphere is cheerful and encouraging. Just don't go in hoping Brian will do anal, because he doesn't. Anymore.
P.S. I am not getting paid, but if you do try them out, feel free to drop my name.
