This graphic helps you understand why it would take a while to find the long-missing Malaysian plane that we can only presume crashed shortly after it disappeared.

I just hope I don't have to hear one more idiotic, out-of-nowhere theory that the plane was successfully hijacked and landed in some foreign country. People are getting stupider as time goes on, and are becoming more emboldened by social media and Hollywood entertainment to make random guesses.

The only thing we know for sure, though, is that Malaysia has no idea what it's doing.
