November 6, 1948—January 18, 2016
Another massive loss for the music world—Glenn Frey, founding member, singer and guitarist for the legendary band the Eagles—has died at age 67 following intestinal issues that had plagued him since surgery in November 2015.
Frey and Don Henley had been the final remaining original members of the Eagles, one of the best-selling acts of all time.
In addition to his run with the Eagles, Frey was a successful solo artist, particularly in the '80s, with such memorable hits “The One You Love” (1982), “Sexy Girl” (1984), “The Heat Is On” (1984), “Smuggler's Blues” (1985) and “You Belong to the City” (1985).
He released his final solo album in 2012.
