Tropical Punch: THE GRAND PARADISE In Brooklyn Comments (0)

I'm a little skittish about audience participation (shouldn't I get residuals?), so I've never been fully on board with immersive theater. There is, however, quite a bit of information that leads me to think The Grand Paradise, playing in Brooklyn, would win me over.

Third Rail Projects (Then She Fell) is behind the piece, which is set in the late '70s and which begins with each attendee being handed a vintage plane ticket by a stewardess in polyester. Next stop, the Grand Paradise tropical resort, where one is alleged to be able to visit the Fountain of Youth. The show features “gay hustlers, eternal youths, gods, monsters, disco queens and sexy con men,” which sounds like some house parties to which I have accidentally not been invited.

Get your tickets here, and bon voyage.
