It's a picture of a picture, but pretty clear—a shot of my grandpa, Owen Toole, when he was in CCC camp prior to his service in WWII. He was an industrious guy, but definitely had to deal with the psychological effects of his service, including seeing action in a tank. He wound up cooking, and that became his vocation and his career—and man, was he ever good at it.
