Kathryn Knott—the daughter of a former police chief—who was convicted of participating in the anti-gay assault against Zachary Hesse and Andrew Haught in 2014, has been paroled after serving just five months in prison.
Infuriating.
The 25-year-old had been convicted of simple assault, conspiracy to commit simple assault and reckless endangerment (two counts) and sentenced to five to 10 months in prison this past February. She will serve five months on parole and then be on probation for two years, paid $2,000 and has to leave Philly during her probation except when attending to court-related issues.
The two other men charged with crimes over the assault pled guilty and were given 200 hours of community service.
The victims are suing all three. One hopes they'll take every penny she has.
