Ron Glass, known for his 164 episodes of Barney Miller, on which he played funky (and I thought sexy) Det. Harris, has died of respiratory failure, TMZ and Extra report.

With the actor's passing—which falls in the same year that his much-older castmate Abe Vigoda died—there are now only two remaining core actors from Barney Miller: “Barn” himself, Hal Linden (85); and “Wojo,” Max Gail (73).

The amazing Barbara Barrie, who played “Mrs. Miller,” is also with us (85), as are a number of tangential cast members, such as Gregory Sierra (better remembered as Sanford & Son's “Julio,” 79), Paul Lichtman (78), Milt Kogan (80), Linda Lavin (she was a detective in the early seasons, 79), June Gable (better known as “Joey”'s agent from Friends, 71), Mari Gorman (72), Dino Natali (85) and Paul Lieber (probably in his early 70s). Quite a few other familiar faces from the show are alive.

Other prominent cast members to die: Jack Soo (1979), James Gregory (2002), Florence Stanley (2003), Ron Carey (2007), Steve Landesberg (2010) and George Murdock (2012).
