The socialite actress Dina Merrill died this week after battling dementia. She was 93.

Her second husband was the movie actor Cliff Robertson, an Oscar winner who died at 88 in 2011, and who suffered a major career setback in the 1970s for an unbelivable reason — he realized his agent had stolen $10,000 due to him, and he pointed it out.
