Via THR: Handsome Roger Smith, known for 77 Sunset Strip (appearing 1958-1963) and as the husband and manager of Ann-Margret (b. 1941), died Sunday at 84.
Smith's acting career ended in the late '60s when he was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis, a debilitating disease that left him weak.

Along with TV appearances, Smith had several movie roles, most memorably in Auntie Mame (1958). He starred in the TV-series version of Mister Roberts (1965-1966), and formed a creative partnership with Allan Carr (1937-1999) that led to the production of the films The First Time (1969) and the Ann-Margret vehicle CC & Company (1970). Smith worked as a screenwriter for both.
Smith also released music in the '60s.
His final public appearance was the red-carpet premiere of his wife's Going in Style on March 30, 2017.
