Chief Mark Saunders of Toronto just announced that the cops there have arrested a man who is believed to have been the rumored serial killer behind the disappearance of several men, some gay, in the Church-Wellesley area over a number of years.
Selim Esen & Andrew Kinsman are now both confirmed to have died; no bodies have been found.
Incredible ...
Via CBC News Toronto: Though cops had previously stated it was their belief that no serial killer was at work in Toronto, that has ended now that a suspect has been caught.
Police have now arrested 66-year-old Bruce McArthur and charged him with first-degree murder in the deaths of both Andrew Kinsman and Selim Esen, missing from the same area of downtown Toronto since the spring. Police say he was in a sexual relationship with at least Kinsman.

Via CP24:
The investigation into the men's disappearance was dubbed 'Project Prism' by investigators.
Investigators previously said both men frequented the Church and Wellesley area and that they did not believe the two disappearances were linked in any way.
Esen, 44, was last seen in mid-April in the Kensington Market area and Kinsman, 49, was last seen in late June near his home in the Parliament and Winchester streets area.
At the time, police also announced what they said was an unrelated police investigation, dubbed Project Houston, which is looking into the disappearances of three other men in the area of the Gay Village since 2010.
The other missing men have not yet been connected to this case, a fact that could change sooon, according to Det. Hank Idsinga.
'We have a pretty good idea of cause of death but I am not yet ready to discuss that yet,' Idsinga said.

Extremely Important Note MSM Has Yet to Report: McArthur is Facebook friends with Jean-Guy Cloutier, a man whose best friend, Skanda Navaratnam, disappeared September 6, 2010. From this and other connections, it would suggest McArthur was social with the missing men, who may have been in the leather or SM community.
Video from McArthur's page:
McArthur's Facebook page is filled with photos of food, travel and family, including small children. Images of him handing out candy to children on Halloween — dressed in an Emperor of Evil costume — are haunting:
McArthur also has some very un-warm and fuzzy pics of a mall Santa that may or may not be him (he has images of kids he knows with the Santa, so it's possible this is just another white-haired man). A caption heavily implies that this is, in fact, McArthur as Santa:
UPDATE: I was correct when I posted McArthur's image. People asked how I was sure; I was beyond reasonably sure because of various clues on his Facebook page, as well as off-the-record, second-hand confirmation via a trusted source. Confirmation.
