The gay-themed teen comedy Love, Simon is in theaters March 16 from Twentieth Century Fox, and it represents the first major-studio film about a teen coming out as gay.

Even if IndieWire calls it a sappy, B- picture, that's still progress — gay kids need their romantic fluff just like straight kids do.
