A survivor of the Parkland shooting told the media that Trump's phone call to her was disastrous ...
Samantha Fuentes said that she received a phone call in her hospital bed from Trump, who told her he'd heard she was a big fan of his (she wasn't and isn't) and told her he was a big fan of hers.
She also reports that Trump brought up Nikolas Cruz, calling him “a sick puppy.”
Why bring up the shooter in such a call? Baffling.
She went on to say:
... he didn't express any real empathy. It's kind of hard to express empathy when you don't understand.
She is the survivor who had earlier said she'd never been more unimpressed by a person in her life, noting how indelicately Trump was in his call to her:
