Gus Kenworthy and Matt Wilkas are mourning the loss of their puppy Beemo, a dog they adopted in South Korea, saving her from a dog meat farm in February.

Since then, she's been a staple of their social media.

Now, the couple has announced that Beemo suddenly died after exhibiting odd behavior — it turned out she had a previously undetected heart defect, a flaw in her body that meant she never had a chance.

Sending them lots of love — this has to be hard.
