Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responds, beautifully, to almost-dead Sen. Mitch McConnell, who disingenuously tried to paint her outta-nowhere win in New York as a drag on the party nationally.
He knows that isn't true. She does, too.
Ocasio-Cortez is a breath of fresh air, unlike Bernie Sanders, and isn't divisive. Her win shows that Democrats are so fired up to vote that they will reaching past centrist Dems in some areas for even more progressive candidates.
To be clear, I would be thrilled if Bernie were our president right now. I was never against his policies, I just preferred Hillary, and I saw the writing on the wall of how damaging his negativity was in the general (though I did not see it going as far as it did, helping to elect Trump).
So bring her on!
There is no putting lipstick on the pig of Kennedy's retirement, but there is also no doubt in my mind that November is set to be a blue wave. So let's hope Trump doesn't get us into a war before then, and let's hope his Helsinki summit with his boss, Putin, doesn't result in any election-tampering.
I guess it's time for Trump's performance review.— Boy Culture Blog (@mattrett) June 28, 2018
