Columbus, Ohio, cops arrested Stormy Daniels — who is currently involved in a high-profile lawsuit with the corrupt POTUS, Donald Trump — fon Wednesday for allegedly allowing herself to be touched by a patron at Sirens, a strip club.

Yep, that's it.

The notes on the charge read:

ILLEGALLY OPERATING SEXUALLY ORIENTED BUSINESS - EMPLOYEE KNOWINGLY TOUCH ANY PATRON

Her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, wrote on Twitter:

Just rcvd word that my client @StormyDaniels was arrested in Columbus Ohio whole performing the same act she has performed across the nation at nearly a hundred strip clubs. This was a setup & politically motivated. It reeks of desperation. We will fight all bogus charges. #Basta

She was arrested for allegedly allowing a customer to touch her while on stage in a non sexual manner! Are you kidding me? They are devoting law enforcement resources to sting operations for this? There has to be higher priorities!!! #SetUp #Basta

We expect her to be released on bail shortly. We also expect that she will be charged with a misdemeanor for allowing “touching.” We will vehemently contest all charges. #Basta

My client @StormyDaniels will issue a plea of “Not Guilty” to the three misdemeanor charges.

The violations — three — are in relation to what is seen as an obscure law in Ohio prohibiting any physical touching between strip-club employees and customers.

Incredibly, there was a whole piece on the futility of this decades-old law in September 2017 in the Press Reader, in which the same sheriff's office that arrested Daniels said, via a spokesman:

We have not had any complaints or reaons to apply this law. We have gone back as far as we have records for, and nothing has been found.

That was then this is now — no complaints, but plenty of political reasons to apply it on Stormy Daniels. Also worth noting, this law has been enforced out of the blue almost two dozen times lately. Why?!
