I would love to see him die in prison. (GIF via GIPHY)
The Guardian has published a bombshell report that Paul Manafort — who yesterday was the subject of a complaint filed by Robert Mueller suggesting he has lied, violating his plea deal — secretly met Julian Assange of WikiLeaks infamy in the Ecuadorian embassy in London.
The meetings are said to have occurred in 2013, 2015 and in the spring of 2016, all while Manafort was a prime player on Trump's campaign team.
The final meeting was a matter of months before WikiLeaks released a cache of DNC emails stolen by the Russians.
Manafort denies the claim.
I had an old friend who became obsessed with WikiLeaks, defending Assange as a truth-seeker and an exposer of corruption. Turns out he was always nothing more than a Russian agent hellbent on thwarting Hillary Clinton, who would have been a far stronger president for the U.S. in general and a more adversarial president for Putin to have to deal with.
“No collusion,” Mr. Trump? More like all collusion, all the time.
