On Instagram, the men posted that they had no idea who Schock was, expressed embarrassment for that, and disavowed his beliefs.
Some are carping about the guys being at Coachella in the first place, but give it a rest — you can't watch Beyoncé's Coachella doc and know 100 people who attend and hold it against these guys for going. Yes, the event is run by someone anti-gay and it is not ideal to support it, but there are bigger fish to fry.
I think their apology is believable and sincere and they should not be scorned for unwittingly becoming a part of Schock's messy journey from anti-gay gay to Coachella sleeparound:
