At The Cher Show, I bumped into one of the Little Mermen, NYC's hottest Disney party group — as one does.

Alexis Babini, the group's founder, was seated late and the lead actress called him out from the stage, which may have embarrassed him, but it really just called attention to him. Since Hillary Clinton was in the house, that means the First Lady, senator and Secretary of State was giving him her famous Donald Trump eyeroll for a moment.

Back to the Little Mermen: It's a group of  people dedicated to bringing Disney nostalgia to your drunken weekend night, and it's such a good idea. How many millennials and millennial-adjacents have we all seen who barely need any encouragement at all to, “Let it go, let it go”?

What do they play? Well, all the obvious classics, from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to Pinocchio to Fantasia and beyond, but they're serious about this — they dig into The Fox and the Hound, people. They've got Doug's First Movie realness. They avoid The Song of the South, but hey, there's not much call for it in Brooklyn.

They're playing Friday, April 5, at the Brooklyn Bazaar — tickets here. Check them out and say hi for me.
