I'm sorry I had to miss Broadway Bares this year; one of my favorite dancers, Josh Cotham, was the #3 top fundraiser, raking in $28,000+.

When I joked with him about all the generous friends he must have, he directed my attention to this POZ article, which explains how a new friendship led to his success. It's a great example of going against the “those darn millennials” trend among older gay men — that dinner-table scene in Tales of the City, ouch! — and of people coming together for a common, charitable cause.

The entire event raised over $2 million for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and I would bet the house was packed from 18 to 80 and beyond, as it always is.
