ABOVE: Pass the Salter.

BELOW: Keep reading for an actor committed to showing his body (of work), anti-Trump Repubs, One Million Moms, Christmas music throw-downs and more  ...

GREG IN HOLLYWOOD: GALECA (the Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics, of which I am a member) has selected Olivia Wilde, Booksmart director, as its Artist of the Year.

GAY FLESHBOT (WORK UNFRIENDLY): Julian Julian_shaw_af8cc6_infobox-1-1024x602Shaw shows a lot in his film Use Me, which aside from nudity tackles the topic of addiction.

ABC NEWS: The anti-Trump Republican movement gains steam.

WAPO: Pence was arm-deep in the Ukraine scandal.

GLAAD: So, is One Million Moms, the right-wing group that bitches and moans about all things gay — really just one mom? GLAAD lays out the case!

KENNETH IN THE (212): Rogue Wave covers Cyndi Lauper's “Money Changes Everything” 35 years after its release. Meanwhile, gotta love that Cyndi Lauper has fave tracks on Madonna's Madame X.

WAPO: It's 2019, and a woman is writing to Miss Manners for advice on how to politely exclude a distant gay relative's “man friend” because having both at a Christmas party would “condone homosexuality.”

OMG. BLOG! (WORK UNFRIENDLY): Wham!'s “Last Christmas” > Mariah Carey's “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” and now there is 4K proof. But Mariah, via a hard-fought campaign, did claim her 19th #1 with her Christmas song this year. Okay. You got the #1 you wanted. Can the song please be shelved forever? And ever?

Also, worth noting: Mariah's accomplishment isn't that amazing — the Billboard Hot 100 is currently flooded with Xmas singles — Brenda Lee is #3 with “Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree”! Brenda, 75, said in a new statement:

When I recorded “Rockin'” in 1958, I never could have dream't that it would become a Christmas standard that would be listened to year after year and loved by generation after generation. I always loved the song and knew it was great, and that was the main criteria for me and Owen Bradley, but we never imagined it would become the quintessential Christmas song it has become. It's been an amazing journey with this song.

Lee's song has 37.1 million U.S. streams for the week ending December 12, and its #3 position is the highest it has ever ranked. Billboard's changing chart methodology is why — it's not like Christmas is suddenly popular.

PEOPLE: Speaking of legends and Christmas tunes, Dionne Warwick tells People Magazine her biggest wish for Christmas — other than having you buy her new Dionne Warwick & The Voices of Christmas album — is to get her country back. Nothing I appreciate more than a politically aware 80-year-old icon. (Here's her duet with 84-year-old Johnny Mathis.)

JOE.MY.GOD.: Disgraced Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort — who had a heart event in custody this week — has been thrown a bone: He won't face a couple of New York state charges due to Kuhnhausen the state's double jeopardy laws.

TOWLEROAD: Suspect in trans teen's murder was “really, really disturbed” by her gender.

TWITTER: Arizona Rep. Debbie Lasko — an R for really, really stupid — was ranting about how members of Congress were calling for Trump's impeachment early on, thereby rendering them partial, only to be informed that said members of Congress were not yet in Congress. What a fail:
