The Golden Globes avoided giving statues to Lady Gaga in 2019 and now Jennifer Lopez in 2020, seemingly moving away from the org's penchant for rewarding glitzy stars making breakthrough performances.

But then they went with Brad Pitt and Taron Egerton.

Will be interesting to see how the wins affect Oscar nominations — which are still happening, but which close this week.
