Kathy Griffin promised her followers a New Year's Eve surprise, and she delivered — she married longtime beau Randy Bick, and Lily Tomlin did the honors ...
The entire ceremony was just under 14 minutes but I have to give you guys the uncut first 75 seconds. LOVE IT! We promised you atypical. We are in love and we cannot stop laughing. Thank you @LilyTomlin and Jane Wagner!#HappyNewYear pic.twitter.com/O5vOss3TCD

In a 75-second clip Griffin posted to Twitter, the casual ceremony, also attended by Tomlin's wife and creative partner Jane Wagner, was a mix of traditional (Griffin's gorgeous, pearly-white, short-sleeved gowan that she apparently had worn on their first date) and not-so-traditional (Tomlin announced that the couple was marrying in spite of having started things out as a “toot-it-and-boot-i” hookup).
The entire ceremony lasted 14 minutes.
It was perhaps especially meaningful to time the ceremony in this way — Griffin used to be a staple of NYE on CNN, and now she has moved on to greener pastures.
P.S. Cheri Oteri's Barbara Walters impersonation sucks. Please stop trying to convince me it's funny.
