Madison Cawthorn, the youngster (age 25) who was the surprise winner of the Republican primary for North Carolina's 11th congressional district, spoke on Night 3 of the RNC.
Already a flawed candidate — he has sexual abuse allegations in his past, has lied about his personal history and very recently had to defend old images of himself visiting Hitler's Eagle's Nest and gushing about it — he used part of his speech to note that James Madison was 25 when he signed the Declaration of Independence.
Which he never signed.
Yeah, this kid is fitting in well with today's GOP — an inveterate liar.
Also, he stood up from his wheelchair (he was partially paralyzed in an accident when he was younger) to imply that athletes should be standing for the national anthem, adding to his Hitler Youth vibe.
