David Pevsner Sings His Life Story In MUSICAL COMEDY WHORE! Comments (0)

“Recovering narcissist” David Pevsner, a longtime actor in NYC theater and film, is the star of the one-man show Musical Comedy Whore!, which was filmed live and is out now.

Though I wish we could watch and listen to this lively show in person, it's a delight to have it on video, as the handsome performer (who I first became aware of in the utterly amazing stage show When Pigs Fly and regret not knowing he was turning tricks at that time) belts topical lyrics set to classically Broadway-sounding music.

He's in good voice and was having a good body day, too, in this witty homage to gay self-love that is at turns clever, spirited and lusty.

Hearing a gay man talk about things like his starfucking fantasies from his single-digit days is bound to thrill men of a certain age, and to resonate with men of, well, all ages.

Brendan Russo directs, keeping the pace up as Pevsner tells his — and your? — life story with disarming honesty and no euphemisms.

Check it out on Amazon Prime.
