TWITTER: Rick Santorum gave a speech about the, er, settling of the United States in which he proclaimed the country was founded on the principles of Jesus Christ. When it came to that messy genocide of Native Americans, he said:
We came here and created a blank slate. We birthed a nation from nothing. I mean, there was nothing here. I mean, yes, we have Native Americans, but candidly there isn't much Native American culture in American culture.

He says America is all about “faith and freedom,” but won't even talk about the genocide that allowed this country to exist. And this is supposed to be in line with Christian values. Bizarre.
HEAVY: Sam Johnson, the CEO of VisuWell in Nashville, decided to harass a teenage boy who was in a dress for his prom, did so smugly on camera and then took a swipe at the person recording him. Once the video dropped, Johnson ran to newly right-wing-friendly Newsweek to say the confrontation was only about obnoxious behavior, and wasn't about persecuting a kid for how he was dressed — but the video speaks for itself:

NBC NEWS: An Alaskan state senator has been banned by Alaska Airlines for her continuing refusal to wear a mask. This means she has no way to get to her job, to vote on issues, without taking a ferry ride that takes ... days:
It wasn't immediately known how [state Sen. Lora] Reinbold, who was in southcentral Alaska this weekend, would be able to get to Juneau where the legislative session resumes Monday. No other airline has scheduled flights between Anchorage and Juneau, and a ferry trip could take several days. Lawmakers can participate in committee meetings by teleconference but cannot vote on the House or Senate floor remotely under current procedures.
