With an attitude (All images via Yer Won)
In honor of what would've been the rescheduled London Pride, Stephen Foley of Yer Won has released a new line of Pride-centric gear that pays special homage to non-binary, pansexual and trans communities ...
Via press release:
After working in High end womenswear and West End costume for the last 10 years, I was made redundant at the start of the pandemic. With all the extra time on my hands I decided it was time to set up my own brand and so Yer won was born. Showing that even the lockdown can have a silver lining and that you can never keep a good queer down.
Yer Won is a queer owned and run small business that specialises in lycra clothing, everything from thongs to catsuits. The brand is named after the Irish phrase “Yer won” which basically means “That woman”, more often than not it’s used as “Jaysus would you look at what yer won has on her” which is exactly what the Yer Won customer wants, all eyes on them. Each garment is made to order by hand by an Irish queer in London, to reduce waste. Yer Won also offers a custom garment service which provides bespoke lycra pieces for drag, burlesque and Queer nightlife performers.
London Pride this year, which had been moved from its normal spot on the calendar to Mid-September, unfortunately has since been cancelled, however there are still some events taking place, including the long awaited return of queer nightlife events, showing you can’t keep the LGBTQIA community down either. To celebrate Pride Yer Won is launching a trio of pride flag pieces, a Trans flag wrestling singlet, a Non-binary bottom, and a Pansexual leotard. These pieces will be available all through the month of September. Follow @yerwonlondon on Instagram and Twitter for more details and check out the Yer Won store on Etsy.com.
Being made redundant never looked so good! More here.
