BOING-BOING: The gay history of hip-hop, pre-Lil Nas X — but co-starring a bunch of people you may not remember.

GOLDEN GLOBES: The embattled Golden Globes announced its nominees — using Snoop Dogg as the mouthpiece, quite a flex as far as rebranding goes! — and the results are quite interesting. The much-hyped House of Gucci only eked out a Best Actress nom for Lady Gaga, who when the Oscars come around will have to contend with the four women in her category (only Chastain, who remember is well-liked by Oscar, feels squishy) plus some of the music and comedy spillovers (notably Rachel Zegler, who I would bet anything gets nominated, and possibly Alana Haim) and anyone the Globes snubbed (Frances McDormand). I continue to be baffled that anyone finds her performance good vs. big or maybe fun, but at least they saw through Jared Leto, who was aggressively bad. Good luck to 'er.

PINK NEWS: Three gay dads, one of whom is two of the dads' daughter's ex-BF, want to be on the birth certificate of their forthcoming triplets. I'm out.

NYT: So far, 1% of all Americans 65 and older have died of COVID-19. One percent seems like a good risk in some things, but if we are talking DEATH, 1% is a big risk.

HUFF POST: Imagine being dumb enough to storm the Capitol over your displeasure with the 2020 vote — never having voted yourself in that election.

INSTAGRAM: Colton Haynes is publishing his (first) memoir. I can't believe I'm promoting someone whose people threatened me with legal action for showing images he posed for when he was gay, before he wasn't, before he was again, but his heartfelt comments about being pressured into re-closeting definitely felt honest.

SOCIALITE LIFE: Naked scenes of 2021 galore. Plus, if you sub to MrMan AT THIS LINK, you can get it for life for just $99, and Boy Culture benefits.

KENNETH IN THE (212): Guys in skimpy Speedos.

EXTRATV: And just like that, he's alive and he's cheating!

INSTAGRAM (FOLLOWS APPRECIATED): Happy 96th to Dick Van Dyke — Dick, that's an interesting name.

TIME: Time went with impactful asshole Elon Musk as its Man of the Year. Hitler: “#diditfirst!”
