SOCIALITE LIFE: The 2022 Film Independent Spirit Awards got a lot right, choosing The Lost Daughter and its director Maggie Gyllenhaal as film and director the year, and going with the far more interesting (than most Oscar nominees) perfs given by Taylour Paige and Simon Rex as actress and actor. Troy Kotsur and Ruth Negga won for their supporting portrayals.
Equating “gay” with “sex” is, of course, anti-gay. (Image via Twitter)
TWITTER: This is pretty horrendous, but we're at a point where calling everyone who disagrees with you a pedophile is the norm. Case in point, Christina Pushaw, the spokesperson for Florida's Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, did just that — and she is absolutely comfortable with her accusation living on social media, and she is absolutely comfortable with the logic and with defending it. And her boss is cool with it, too.
INDIEWIRE: Disney does not give two shits about Don't Say Gay, will continue to support (financially) the bill's backers, but says its pro-gay content will counteract that. BULL. Meanwhile, Miss Coco Peru is not wealthy, but is taking a stand against Gay Days:
AXIOS: Bill Barr has a new book to hawk, so of course he's saying things about Trump being so terrible ... that he'd definitely still support him in 2024. Which is stupid and self-defeating, because Trump OF COURSE focused only on the negative part anyway.
ABC NEWS: Bill Cosby will remain free after SCOTUS declined to review his release.

OMG.BLOG! (WORK UNFRIENDLY): Yet another hottie goes nude in DemonHuntr — this time, it's Travis Joe Dixon.
KENNETH IN THE (212): Huge dude, packed into his clothes.
YOUTUBE: Kate McKinnon, who people sometimes forget is gay, uses her comedy to speak out on Don't Say Gay:
NYT: RIP Tony Walton, the brilliant stage and screen designer who took the Oscar for All That Jazz and was once married to Julie Andrews.
WoW: RIP to fashion icon Elsa Klensch.
VARIETY: Lady Gaga has announced long-awaited rescheduled Chromatica Ball stadium tour dates. The initial tweet was immediately deleted in order to correct a typo — I appreciate this. I can't think of almost any major pop star whose team corrects typos!
