UPDATE: Pine's rep insists the spitting was merely an optical illusion.

The Venice screening of Don't Worry Darling — a film with so much BTS drama — went well, garnering an extended standing O.

But three major things happened:

(1) Harry Styles seemed to spit in Chris Pine's lap. It appears to have been a laddish joke, not a sign of disrespect, and who hasn't wanted to hawk one down there?

(3) Florence Pugh, said to be warring with director Olivia Wilde, refused to make eye contact with Wilde, appeared only briefly on the carpet in a group with her and did no other press.
