Fleshback: James Franciscus — The Naked Ape Comments (0)

You've never heard of the great Yale posture scandal, you say? Well, it turns out that in the '50s and '60s, students were photographed naked from three angles, ostensibly to contribute to some sort of study of posture.

As was later discovered, companies like cigarette manufacturers supposedly thought certain body types might be more likely to smoke, but regardless, the images were undoubtedly mostly used by a select few to — stop me if I'm being too elitist in my lingo — get their kicks. More here.

One of Yale's famous grads, the gorgeous hunk of man known as James Franciscus, who was photographed had his poses leak a few years back on eBay, where they sold for $1,250.

I write all this by way of wishing the late actor a happy 88th.
