Little Richard: I Am Everything is a new doc on the rock innovator by Lisa Cortés that is coming April 21.

He truly has a sad legacy because he struggled so much with being a gay man — and while he had a victory lap during the '80s and was a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, he reverted to being a self-hating ex-gay at the very end of his life, a tragedy.

He was infinitely more fun as a queer hell-raiser than he was as a fire-and-brimstone scold.
