TWITTER: RIP Robert Patrick, 85. Patrick was a prolific off-off-Broadway playwright whose The Haunted Host (1964), produced at Caffee Cino, was one of the earliest unapologetically gay plays. A later production of it marked the first time Harvey Fierstein worked onstage as a man. He is well-known for his 1973 play Kennedy's Children, and was often referred to as one of the world's most-produced playwrights. Patrick retired from the theater 30 years ago, but published books that memorialized the scene.
