Republicans are obsessed with gender rigidity, yet we still wound up with a male Anita Bryant. pic.twitter.com/vR19FKPiV8

HUFF POST: Fuck, imagine being the comms director for Rep. George Santos (R-New York, for now)?! Well, Naysa Woomer has finally stopped being able to imagine keeping her job. Upon resigning, she vented at Santos, writing:
Unfortunately, you never took one point of professional advice given.
No lies detected!
METRO: Jake Daniels, 18, came out at 17, becoming the first soccer player of his status to come out as gay since 1990. Among the 20,000 messages of support he received was one from a man named Mark, nearly 30 years his senior. They struck up an online friendship and then met and the rest is history. Now, Jake addresses the fact that people can't get over his attraction to older men — kind of a second coming-out. (Above, Jake with Tom Daley, who also likes older guys.)
WIRED: Ironcially, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg is probably more macho than most of his critics, who are absorbed with issues of feminization. He sez:
I mean, where to begin on this? Fears about masculinity are a way into the fear of displacement. Masculinity establishes a default place, and that place is being shifted and threatened by modernity. A man as the head of the household. The only one who earns income. The default leader in any social or political organization.
The politicization of masculinity is code for Nothing in your life has to change. The problem is, of course, lots of things have to change. Either because there was something wrong with the old way — or because, even as the old way seemed perfectly fine, it’s not an option.
DEADLINE: Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav is saying out loud what we know — CNN is now a Republican network. (Oh, he's pretending it's about fairness. It's not. It's a huge shift to and into the right-wing.) Um, this sounds like advocacy for the right:
During the McCarthy hearings, for those four days, we had 75 Republicans on the air, 41 went on us before they want on Fox [News]. And the reason is, as I’ve said, and Chris [CNN chief Chris Licht] has, too, to a number of them, they are not going to get one more vote on Fox News. They’ve already got that.

E! NEWS: S Club 7 member Paul Cattermole's death at 46 was due to natural causes.

TWITTER: I don't know what is more disgusting — Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) claiming being called a white supremacist is the same as being called the N-word, or her obvious white-woman-in-peril comments about Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-New York):
Marjorie Taylor Greene on Black congressman Jamaal Bowman:

NBC NEWS: SCOTUS has ruled against the Andy Warhol Foundation and for photographer Lynn Goldsmith in a long-smoldering case over an image of Prince. I think this is a disastrous ruling — until now, there has been SO MUCH art that has been derivative. Will artists dare to create from something that previously existed? All because Lynn Goldsmith wanted her fuckin' money.
YOUTUBE: Here comes Theater Camp, starring Ben Platt, Molly Gordon, Noah Galvin and more, coming to theaters July 14. It has a bit of a Waiting for Guffman vibe:
