HUFF POST: In a case that was created from a nonexistent situation, the Supreme Court has made it perfectly legal to discriminate against LGBTQ people based on “religious” reasons. At what point, do you think LGBTQ people will burn places down?

NYC Pride on this horrendous decision:

Today’s Supreme Court decision in 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis dangerously undermines the hard fought non-discrimination protections for LGBTQIA+ people and other marginalized communities. This egregious step backward gives some businesses the license to discriminate.

303 Creative LLC v. Elenis, a replay of a dispute involving Masterpiece Cakeshop from 2018, has set a disturbing precedent that grants immunity to those who wish to discriminate against the LGBTQIA+ community as long as they use the vague and wholly undefined terminology of “religious beliefs” as their justification.

NYC Pride is disappointed but unsurprised by the Supreme Court’s ruling in this case. This decision stands alongside other major erosions in the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community. In 2023 we have seen unprecedented attacks on our nation’s most marginalized communities, including the introduction of over 700 anti-LGBTQIA+ bills in state legislatures and the escalation of anti-LGBTQIA+ rhetoric, disproportionately targeting our trans siblings.

Pride was born of protest and will always be a space to fight injustice and discrimination. Join us as we continue to advocate for equity for the LGBQTIA+ community by volunteering with and/or donating to NYC Pride as we prepare to launch our Pride 365 initiatives, providing safe spaces for our community and its allies year round.

TWITTER: An ailing Madonna has something to celebrate — her single “Popular,” with The Weeknd and Playboi Carti, has rebounded to #18 on the UK singles chart. It is her 66th Top 20 hit there.

POLITICO: We will have to deal with insane Supreme Court decisions until three of those fuckers die. Striking down student debt relief is a shocking judicial overreach, but the silver lining is it should drive Democrats to the polls in 18 months. It's just disgusting, and hot on the heels of the death of affirmative action (which white rubes all stupidly believe is “racist”).
