RIP Jane Birkin, 76. I loved her so much in Evil Under the Sun, and for years didn't really connect her as the '60s/'70s “It” girl, singer, actress and model.

She also, of course effortlessly as with all she did, inspired the Birkin bag. I'm unsure if she was compensated, but she got a free bag every time she asked.

As lovely inside as outside, she was a major LGBTQ-rights advocate. Full obit HERE.
