You can't criticize Troye's body while criticizing him for ignoring yours. (Image via video still)
BILLBOARD: Troye Sivan responds to complaints that his Rush music video did not contain enough body diversity:
I definitely hear the critique. To be honest, it just wasn’t a thought we had — we obviously weren’t saying, “We want to have one specific type of person in the video.” We just made the video, and there wasn’t a ton of thought put behind that.
Perversely, some commenters, in attacking Sivan for not representing more shapes and sizes, mocked his build.

ROTTEN TOMATOES: Barbie has gotten some hyperbolic-seeming reviews (1 OF THE TOP 3 MOVIES EVER MADE feels ... weird), but it's definitely racking up legit positive notices so far.

TWITTER: Country singer Jason Aldean thought he was real slick filming a music video for his pro-lynching ditty at the site of an infamous, well, lynching. It was so blatant even CMT banned the video. Now, it turns out Aldean — who sings in the tune about small-town rough justice — grew up wealthy in Macon, Georgia, far from a small town. And went to private school. It's like Kid Rock redux.
BBC: PM Rishi Sunak apologizes on behalf of Great Britain to LGBTQ veterans who were kicked out of the armed forces just for being who they are.
NYP: I don't like linking to the odious New York Post, but they do break news and LGBTQ people often still speak directly to them. In this case, I wanted an easy-to-read link regarding the harassment two 76-year-old restaurant owners are facing in the small town of Plains, Virginia, where their mere ownership of the Front Porch Market and Grill is enough to drive some neighbors to do everything in their power to run them out of business and ruin their lives. The Post frames a recent incident — a neighbor threw a dead rat on their property, a classic warning — as being the handiwork of conservative neighbors. It's not conservative, it's radical, when you can't stand the existence of queer people.
